Growden, Personal Best seniors, Casselman Valley, Hampshire, TM Sluggers junior win in Mtn. League
Growden’s win highlights a busy Mountain League Senior Division night at Broadford Park, involving Growden, Personal Best, Casselman Valley and Hampshire. In the 10-8 decision, Jaxon Lowery connected a triple and drove in three, while also scoring three times; Issac Growden went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Braedon Martin pitched six innings for the victory, allowing six runs and 10 hits with six strikeouts and seven walks. Dane Van Slyke was 3-for-5 with two runs and Jacob Welch added a double and three runs; Welch took the loss. Zewatsky worked six innings in relief, yielding five hits and six runs.
Additional Senior Division action included Personal Best 15 defeating Lefty’s 1, with Deremer and Lapp delivering at the plate. Deremer doubled and tripled, driving in two, while Lapp added a triple and a double. Dudiak went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs, and Wilburn posted a two-base hit with two RBIs. Lapp earned the complete-game win in five innings, with five strikeouts. In Junior Division, Casselman Valley beat Outdoor Power 7-2, and Hampshire rallied to 17-4 over Frostburg with a 14-run fifth.
