Here's how DWTC has kept Dubai's events moving
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) says it has kept the emirate’s events calendar moving through reshuffles and delays, citing a schedule reshaped back into place and a major expansion pipeline. In September, Arabian Travel Market (ATM) went ahead at DWTC after being rescheduled earlier in the year, running from 14 to 17 September. The event drew more than 55,000 attendees from 166 countries and 2,800 exhibitors. DWTC leadership says that delivery, alongside other recent major shows, demonstrates ongoing engagement from the international business events community.
The venue group is also entering a busy Q4 period, with more than 100 exhibitions, conferences and business events scheduled from September to December, including Beautyworld Dubai, Big 5 Global and GITEX Global. DWTC’s 2025 Economic Impact Assessment estimates large-scale events generated record output of Dhs25.03bn, up 12% year-on-year, supporting over 94,000 jobs. Plans for a new Dhs10bn expansion are due in 2029, with DWTC operating both DICEC and DEC to manage capacity and overlap. Looking ahead, Dubai aims to triple the sector’s annual contribution to Dhs54bn by 2033 under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
