Here's What Landen Hatchett Brings to the Huskies
Landen Hatchett’s potential return could be a major boost for the University of Washington ahead of Friday night’s game against Iowa. The UW center has 10 starts at the position and 16 total along the offensive line, and he’s a 31-game veteran with 15 starts since joining the Huskies’ lineup. Hatchett is expected to receive medical clearance after a broken wrist and reclaim his starting role at center. In 2024, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound captain opened the Iowa matchup as a left guard. Coach Jedd Fisch highlighted Hatchett’s “experience at center” and confidence, saying his presence may allow Kolt Dieterich and Hatchett to be on the field together. If he’s back, UW hopes for improved running and pass protection, with clear on-field communication.
