Here's where to watch the World Cup in Hampton Roads as knockout stage begins
As the World Cup knockout stage begins, 48 teams will play 104 matches across Mexico, the United States and Canada, with the tournament described as the largest in history. Thirty-two teams qualified for the knockout round from the group stage, including the United States. The U.S. will face Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, with that match being played in San Francisco. In Hampton Roads, multiple venues are hosting watch parties with sound and game-day promotions. Waterside District in Norfolk is offering food and drink specials, while Peck and Pour, Colley Cantina, Grace O’Malley’s and Cogan’s Pizza are scheduled to show matches. CP Shuckers will host a 8 p.m. parking-lot watch party, and TowneBank Stadium in Newport News plans a free event with gates opening at 7 p.m.
