Hunter Biden said President Trump is the “one existential threat” to the United States, framing Trump as more than an effect of broader problems. In an interview with conservative host Tucker Carlson, Biden argued that wealthy tech leaders have benefited from Trump’s political relationships with figures such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. He said algorithms and business incentives reward division: “They make more money by dividing people.” Biden added Trump helped shift a “local epidemic” into a “pandemic.” Democrats have criticized corporate influence in Washington, and he referenced Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s call in June to curb “totally unchecked power.” He also addressed his father’s 2024 pardon of felony charges, saying it was “not good” for Joe Biden’s legacy.
