Jackson double ends Man City's perfect run as Villa win 2-1

Aston Villa ended Manchester City’s perfect start to the Premier League with a 2-1 win at Villa Park on Saturday. Nicolas Jackson scored in both halves, handing City a damaging defeat while the club faces off-field turmoil over a guilty verdict tied to 114 breaches of Premier League financial rules, which City denies. City remain top on 21 points, but the result allows Arsenal to move level later on Saturday if they draw level at home against Everton, with a three-point gap. Villa climbed to sixth on 11 points, boosted by a first league win at home this season. Jackson punished City mistakes after Marc Guehi’s heavy touch and set up a winner just after the hour.
