Jameis Winston, OL Jon Runyan Jr. sign 2-year extensions

The New York Giants agreed to two-year extensions for quarterback Jameis Winston and left guard Jon Runyan Jr., with both contracts running through 2028. New York begins the 2026 season on Sunday night against the Cowboys, and the deal keeps Winston in place for his second year as a Giant and his 12th season in the NFL. Winston has played 108 regular-season games (89 starts) with Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Cleveland and the Giants, posting 61.1% completions, 24,792 passing yards, 156 touchdowns and 113 interceptions. In 2025 he appeared in three games as a backup to Russell Wilson and rookie Jaxson Dart, likely remaining No. 2. Runyan started 29 games at left guard for the Giants over the last two seasons after arriving from the Packers.
