Kinley Ramsus sets LLWS record as Southeast win headlines the day

South Williamsport’s Kinley Ramsus added to her Little League World Series resume as the Southeast advanced in Tuesday action. The Phenix, Alabama standout went 2-for-? with two hits and drove in a run, helping the Southeast defeat Tacoma, WA 4-2. Ramsus is now 5-for-10 in the LLWS, and her five hits are the most by a girl in the tournament’s history. She also matched Mo’ne Davis’ strikeout record for a girl, fanning eight in the Southeast’s first game. In 10.2 innings so far, Ramsus has 14 strikeouts, no runs allowed, and only three hits. Next, the Southeast faces Great Lakes Region champions in the semifinal elimination bracket.
