Comedian Larry David criticized President Donald Trump’s White House “UFC Freedom 250” event marking the nation’s 250th anniversary, saying it made him feel “embarrassed to be an American.” David made the remarks at the premiere of his HBO sketch series, set to debut June 26, titled “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.” In comments to Fox News Digital, the 78-year-old comedian called the fight a “travesty” and said, “I was embarrassed to be an American.” The UFC event, held at the White House, was also staged for Trump’s 80th birthday and reportedly drew about 4,300 attendees, including 1,200 active-duty service members. The program included the Marine Band performing the national anthem with Zac Brown, and ended with a flyover by the Navy’s Blue Angels and Thunderbirds. Fox News Digital said it reached out to the White House for comment.
