Man City deserve to keep titles, says PSG's Luis Enrique
PSG coach Luis Enrique said Manchester City “deserve” to keep the trophies they won on the pitch and urged the English club to avoid sanctions despite being found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules. City could face severe penalties, including potential relegation, after an independent commission ruled them guilty on more than 100 charges between 2009 and 2018. There has also been speculation that titles won during that period could be stripped, while City have appealed and deny wrongdoing. Guardiola, who left City in May, is set to return to the Etihad for Wednesday’s Champions League match against PSG. Luis Enrique, a close friend of Guardiola, said what happens on the field should remain on the field and called the fixture “fun” at this stage of the campaign.
