Man City splash €100m on breakout World Cup star Bouaddi, Chelsea linked with Villa keeper

Manchester City have signed Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi for an initial €95m, with the total fee reaching €100m, a deal that makes him the most expensive teenager in Premier League history. The 18-year-old Morocco international has agreed a five-year contract at the Etihad after the clubs settled on terms over the weekend, subject to international clearance. City say the move follows the exits of Rodri and Reijnders, with Nico Gonzalez also expected to leave, boosting Enzo Maresca’s midfield options. Bouaddi has 96 Lille appearances since breaking into the first team at 16 and stood out during Morocco’s World Cup quarter-final run. City are also linked with Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
