Meet the wealth manager who built a $38 billion firm and gave $100 million to the MBA program that launched him | Fortune

Jeff Thomasson, an Indiana University Kelley MBA graduate, has built an Oxford Financial Advisors wealth management firm with more than $38 billion in assets under advisement. IU says Thomasson and his wife, Cheryl, donated $100 million last week toward graduate education at Kelley, with support also earmarked for the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. It’s the largest individual gift in IU history. The Thomassons have now given more than $111 million to the university, and the board approved naming the Kelley graduate division after Thomasson. Thomasson said the MBA gave him his foundation and his gift is meant to “pay forward” that investment.
