The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire (N.H.) is searching for a school district to host its “Take Flight” high school plane-building program, with a target start for the 2027-28 school year. The effort gives about 50 students a credit-earning course where they build a real flyable, two-seat all-metal airplane alongside volunteer mentors. The program began in 2019 with the Manchester (N.H.) School of Technology, then expanded to Lebanon (N.H.) High School in 2024 and Farmington (N.H.) High School in 2025. The museum will raise $320,000 in startup funds, supply trained mentors, accept applications by Oct. 1, 2026, and places no direct cost on local taxpayers.
