Music, food, blessing of the fleet highlight Provincetown Portuguese Festival previews the 2026 Provincetown Portuguese Festival returning this weekend to celebrate Portuguese heritage and the town’s fishing history. Organizers say the event is rooted in community and features a full schedule leading up to the Fishermen’s Mass and the Blessing of the Fleet on Sunday. On Friday, June 26, festivities begin with an artisan and craft fair at Portuguese Square, live performances on the Seamen’s Bank Main Stage, and community activities including a fishing derby, soup tasting, and evening homecoming at Bas Relief Park. Saturday adds family activities, folklore dancing, performances from children’s music to Capoeira, and “A Night of Fado” at Town Hall. Sunday focuses on maritime traditions, including the Fishermen’s Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Church and a procession to MacMillan Pier for the 79th Blessing of the Fleet, with more music and food across town.
