xCruzo Brief
National Public Lands Day (NPLD) will take place on September 26, marking the 33rd annual edition of one of the country’s largest one-day volunteer events for public lands. Coordinated by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and supported through the 250th anniversary of U.S. service, the day aligns with the America Gives campaign, backed by NEEF’s partnership with America250 to make 2026 the biggest year of volunteerism in U.S. history. NPLD’s theme is “Caring for Our Shared America.” NEEF is also partnering with Outward Bound USA for “The Reset.” In 2025, more than 55,000 volunteers joined over 900 events, contributing $9.4 million in service value.
