NBA Legend Stacey King Dies from Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Stacey King, a former Chicago Bulls star and longtime local broadcaster, died at 59, and medical findings have now identified the cause. UK’s Daily Mail reported on May 5 (Korean time) that King passed away at his Chicago home from cardiovascular disease linked to hypertension, after initial reports suggested he died from a fall at his River Forest residence. The investigation by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said the manner of death was natural, with obesity also cited as a contributing factor. King was Chicago’s 6th overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft, a 211cm center who helped power the Bulls’ first three-peat from 1991-1993.
