New photos mark Prince George's first day at the school his dad William attended
xCruzo Brief
Prince George, 13 and second in line to the British throne, started at Eton College on Tuesday, following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William. Three photos released by Kensington Palace show George in his uniform ahead of his arrival at the start of the new term, taken before he went to the school by Matt Porteous. School officials say he was greeted by headteacher Simon Henderson, who told him, “Welcome, good luck, enjoy it.” George typically wears a dark suit and blue shirt and tie at arrival, then changes into Eton’s black tailcoat, vest, pinstriped pants and stiff white collar. Eton charges about $85,000 a year and is a boys’ boarding school founded in 1440.
