Congressional Black Caucus pushes companies to oppose GOP redistricting push

The Congressional Black Caucus is urging corporate America to oppose Republican redistricting. In a letter to more than 250 companies, CBC members describe the moves as coordinated to silence Black voices. The coalition Business for Voting Rights of 2021 is cited, listing brands such as Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Tesla, Salesforce, Target, PayPal, Intel and Starbucks. The CBC has 59 members, all Democrats, and says several states are redrawing districts. Analysts say any federal voting rights measure would require majorities in both chambers and in the Presidency. It remains unclear how companies will respond.
