Nike just duped its own Jacquemus Moon Shoe collab
Nike’s Moon Shoe collaboration with Jacquemus originally created major demand, with the first collection selling out immediately and a follow-up also disappearing quickly. Now, Nike has released its own close replica, called “sail/black,” giving more shoppers access to the look of the collab. The new version features a fully white leather upper with a black swoosh on both sides, along with leather cutouts at the heel and lateral in a lighter, powdery white tone. It also keeps the same gum sole as the collaboration pairs, including the familiar tread pattern. The Moon Shoe’s design traces back to the 1970s, when Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman developed the sole after seeing a waffle iron in use. Nike’s broader strategy echoes earlier reworks of Jacquemus colorways into general releases.
