Packers Training Camp Recap: Injury info gets cleared up on Day 1
The Green Bay Packers began their first 2026 training camp practice on Wednesday, and early injury updates clarified several situations. General manager Brian Gutekunst said the team plans to run “a couple series” with starters in preseason play. Coming into camp, Green Bay reported 11 players were on either the physically unable to perform list or the non-football injury list. Left guard Aaron Banks and defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse practiced immediately and were removed from PUP. Gutekunst said defensive lineman Javon Hargrave (knee) and long snapper Matt Orzech (calf) are not long-term issues; emergency long snapper Sean Rhyan handled Orzech’s role, with Gutekunst hinting at adding depth. Tight end Luke Musgrave has a neck injury under evaluation.
