Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport: The Alpine Tribute America Won't Get

Porsche is set to unveil the 911 GT3 Bergsport on September 1, 2026, but the company is keeping the limited model out of the United States. Sales are restricted to France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland only, with total production capped at 100 units. To buy one, customers need a European address and a preexisting Porsche relationship. The Bergsport is positioned as an Alpine-themed 911 GT3 variant, leaning on nostalgia from 1960s Berg racers, while retaining the windshield and roof. Porsche hasn’t confirmed output figures, but it’s expected to use the current 911 GT3’s 4.0-liter flat-six and include a ducktail-style rear spoiler and distinctive leather interior trim.
