President Donald Trump's childhood home sells for $2 million

Donald Trump’s childhood home in Queens sold for $1.93 million, according to real estate listings that appeared Friday. The Tudor-style residence in the Jamaica Estates area had been vacant and left in disrepair, including mold and water damage after a burst pipe and even feral cats living there. The family owned the property until Trump was 4, while his father, developer Fred Trump, built it in 1940. The seller, Tommy Lin, bought it last year for $835,000 and spent about $500,000 on an eight-month renovation adding a chef’s kitchen, herringbone floors and spa-like bathrooms. The buyer was an undisclosed entity, Trump Birth Home LLC, which had briefly been offered for rent on Airbnb.
