Proving age is just a number: 103-year-old and 95-year-old complete Fox Cities half marathon

Two women entered the Community First Fox Cities Marathon this weekend to challenge the idea that age is a barrier. Germaine, 103, and Mabel, 95, completed their first-ever half marathon on Sunday with the St. Paul Elder Services. They ran the 13.1-mile distance as part of the My Team Triumph Wisconsin community program, which provided support from a team of five people, and the pair crossed the finish line together. More than 2,500 participants took part in the marathon, half marathon, and the OSMS Relay Marathon. Since 1991, the event has raised over $1.3 million for local nonprofits and running organizations.
