Renee Good's family sues US government and immigration officials over her killing in Minneapolis
Renee Good’s family has filed two lawsuits against the U.S. government and multiple immigration officials, alleging wrongful death and other violations tied to her killing during a Minneapolis immigration crackdown. The suits were submitted by Good’s partner, Becca Good, and her brother, Brent Ganger. One complaint, filed against “the United States of America,” seeks damages under Minnesota law, citing claims including battery, assault, false imprisonment, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The second alleges a conspiracy to interfere with civil rights and names immigration officer Jonathan Ross, along with figures including Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem, among others. Good, a mother of three, was fatally shot on Jan. 7.
