Roosters No.7 wins second player of the NRLW GF award
xCruzo Brief
Sydney Roosters half Tarryn Aiken has reinvigorated her World Cup selection hopes after winning her second Karyn Murphy medal in a dominant NRLW grand final at Accor Stadium. Aiken missed last year’s decider with a knee injury and watched the Roosters lose to Brisbane, but this time she helped deliver a 30-6 victory over the Brisbane Broncos on Sunday to cap an undefeated season. Named player of the match, she was presented the award alongside teammates Corban Baxter and Millie Elliott. In 2024 she won the medal again when the Roosters beat Cronulla. Aiken scored the second try, set up Jayme Fressard with a cross-field kick, and by 23 minutes the Roosters led 18-0.
