Run With Maud 5K, honoring the life of Ahmaud Arbery, returns to Atlanta

The annual Run With Maud 5K is returning to Atlanta on Saturday at Shirley Clarke Franklin Park. The event honors the life of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered in 2020 while running in Brunswick, Georgia. Organizers say all proceeds benefit the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation. The foundation provides mental health resources, academic scholarships and youth programming, and also advocates for equity and social justice for underserved youth of color. Packet pickup will begin at 6:30 a.m. Registration is available online for $45. For additional details, the event organizers direct participants to the foundation’s website.
