School bus carrying football team hits man in road

A man walking in the road in Bartow County, Georgia, was taken to the hospital after being struck by a school bus early Tuesday. School system officials said the bus was returning from a football game in Cedartown and that the collision occurred on Hwy. 41 when the bus hit the man in the middle of the roadway. Georgia State Patrol confirmed the man was hit by the bus’s side mirror just after midnight and that he was transported with “suspected serious injuries.” There were 21 students, three coaches and a driver on board, and none of them were reported injured.
