Sounders host an exciting matchup Saturday after trading for star striker

Seattle Sounders’ Saturday home match at Lumen Field now carries extra relevance after the club made a major roster move. The team hit a low point on Aug. 19, when poor form helped fuel an embarrassing run that included a record eight-match MLS losing streak. After losing 2-1 to Austin FC, Seattle—one of MLS’s worst this season—added striker Dejan Joveljić from Sporting Kansas City on a four-year deal in a “cash for player” transaction.
