Vote for Big Country High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 19-25, presented by City National Bank

The Abilene Reporter-News is accepting nominations for its City National Bank Big Country High School Athlete of the Week, covering games from Oct. 19-25. The poll closes at 5 p.m. Friday, with the winner announced shortly afterward; nominations are due by 7 p.m. Saturday and can be submitted by email to sports@reporternews.com or Andrew.McCulloch@reporternews.com. Students from all varsity sports are eligible, but each athlete can only earn the award once per season and sport, and no one school can win more than three consecutive weeks. The story lists this week’s candidates, including Keaton Anderson (Seymour) after a 56-28 win over Archer City with 387 passing yards and six touchdowns, Tristan Beal (Abilene High) with 198 passing yards and three TDs in a 48-28 road win over Lubbock Monterey, and others across West Texas.
