Wafalme Stars out of contention for African title after loss to Ghana

Kenya’s national men’s volleyball team suffered a second straight setback at the Africa Nations Championships after losing 3-0 to Ghana in Pool A in Tunis on Thursday. Wafalme Stars, who had also fallen in their opening match, started strongly but dropped the first set 20-25. The second set mirrored the contest as they matched Ghana point for point, reaching 23-23 before the Black Stars pulled ahead to win 25-23. In the deciding set, Wafalme Stars built an early 6-4 lead, but Ghana equalized at 6-6 and then edged forward, finishing 25-20. The defeat leaves them out of contention for the African title.
