We're back baby. Clement's key City pre-season signposts
Norwich City begin a three-part pre-season schedule with their first friendly behind closed doors at Colney on Saturday, as Philippe Clement and his squad start shaping preparations for the League Cup opener against MK Dons. The Canaries’ non-World Cup players have returned only in recent days, and Clement is expected to use the early games as fitness and minute-management tests. Norwich will host King’s Lynn and Colchester United at Colney over the next two weekends, then travel to Switzerland to face Europa League contenders St Gallen. Dates continue back in the UK with a London-based mini training camp, including a first public outing at AFC Wimbledon, plus another behind-closed-doors friendly at a Premier League club. A key talking point is the £8m summer signing Andre Brooks, sidelined for Sheffield United’s Championship run-in after a knee ligament injury, who could debut soon if not played versus Lynn. Other early additions include Sam Field and Bruno Alves.
