xCruzo Brief
A 73-year-old man died Sunday after his riding lawn mower overturned in Monroe County, Michigan, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. David Flood, from Carleton, was driving east on a riding mower around 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 6 along the grass shoulder of West Labo Road near Woodslee Drive in Ash Township when the mower overturned. The mower reportedly fell into a ditch at the bottom of the shoulder, trapping Flood underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said it is unclear why Flood lost control and that alcohol is not believed to have been a factor; the crash remains under investigation.
