Zlatan Ibrahimovic was worried after watching one England player against DR Congo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he was worried after watching an England player struggle physically during the Three Lions’ late 2-1 win over DR Congo in Atlanta. England conceded early when Brian Cipenga scored, but Harry Kane responded with a brace to move past Pele as the sixth-highest scorer in World Cup history. Ibrahimovic, speaking on Fox Sports, focused on Declan Rice’s difficulties covering distance and said multiple players appeared to be running less than before, despite the victory. Anthony Gordon assisted both of Kane’s goals, while substitutions and a second hydration break helped England improve. Djed Spence started at right-back and was replaced by Eberechi Eze, with Rice deputising later on. England also faced right-back problems, including the fitness setbacks to Reece James and Tino Livramento, and head coach Thomas Tuchel called Mexico’s upcoming test “impossible.”
