Zoo Atlanta announces when giant pandas will make their debut

Zoo Atlanta announced that its giant pandas, Ping Ping and Fu Shuang, will make their debut on Friday, Nov. 6. The animals will be introduced in the Arthur M. Blank Panda Grove habitat, which Zoo Atlanta said is an all-new setting. The zoo confirmed the timing in a Tuesday update, saying the pandas are settling into their new home. Zoo Atlanta CEO and President Raymond B. King called the day “a momentous occasion” and said returning visitors who remember the earlier panda habitat will see an “entirely new experience.” The zoo plans a delayed opening for the pandas’ debut, and ticket information is available via the zoo’s website.
