🔍
What is a VIN and where do I find it? +
A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique 17-character code assigned to every motor vehicle at the factory. You can find it: on the driver's side dashboard (visible through the windshield), on the driver's door jamb sticker, on your vehicle registration or insurance card, or on the title document.
What's included in the free VIN check? +
The Free tier gives you the vehicle's core identity — enough to verify you're looking at the right vehicle:

What are the paid report tiers and what do they include? +
xCruzo uses a progressive tier structure — pay only for the depth you need. Each tier builds on the one before it.

Free $0 Year, make, model, trim, body style, fuel, origin, manufacturer, VIN validation

* History tier is $19.99 early-adopter pricing through Q2 2026, then moves to $24.99.
How is xCruzo different from Carfax or AutoCheck? +
Three key differences:

1. Progressive pricing. Carfax charges $44.99 for everything or nothing. xCruzo lets you unlock only what you need — starting free.

2. Multi-vehicle coverage. We decode cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats (HIN), and planes (FAA N-number). Carfax covers cars only.

3. Bilingual intelligence. Every report and news summary is available in both English and Spanish — built for the communities that drive the most vehicles in America.
Do my purchased reports expire? +
Purchased reports are saved to your My Reports library and are accessible for 365 days from purchase. After 365 days, you can refresh the report for $1.99 to pull updated data.
What is the xCruzoAi Score? +
The xCruzoAi Score is a 0–100 confidence and risk indicator generated by our AI after analyzing the vehicle's available data. It weighs factors like recall status, market risk signals, odometer consistency, seller turnover, and data completeness. A higher score means fewer red flags.
Why does the History tier require the mobile app? +
The History tier integrates real-time listing data, dealer movement tracking, and flip analysis that require our full mobile pipeline. The xCruzo app (iOS & Android) is free to download.
How does the xCruzo news feed work? +
Our AI pipeline scans thousands of automotive sources three times daily and surfaces the most relevant stories. Each article gets an AI-generated bilingual summary — readable in 30 seconds in either English or Spanish.
What is xCruzo Select? +
xCruzo Select is our curated daily digest divided into three time slots: Mañana, Medio, and Tarde. Each slot surfaces fresh stories for that part of the day.
Is the news free? What are the subscription tiers? +
The core news feed is free with an account. We offer tiered access (Regular, VIP, Business) for deeper archives.

Bonus: VIN report purchases unlock complimentary premium news access — Market report → 2 weeks; History report → 30 days.
How do I pay for a VIN report? +
VIN reports are one-time purchases — no subscription required. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
Can I get a refund on a VIN report? +
Because VIN report data is delivered immediately upon purchase, reports are generally non-refundable. However, if you experienced a technical issue, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
Do report prices include all data for that tier? +
Yes. Each tier is a flat one-time price — no hidden fees, no upsells within a tier.

You can run a Free VIN lookup and browse the news feed without creating an account.
