Batches of taco mayonnaise sold at Lidl and Supervalu have been recalled after the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said fermentation led to spoilage. The regulator asked retailers to remove the affected products from sale and to display recall notices at point-of-sale. In Lidl, the recall covers 425g bottles of Batt’s Taco Mayonnaise with best-before dates of April 21, 2027 and April 22, 2027, produced in Ireland. At Supervalu, a 420g Taco Mayonnaise batch with a best-before date of April 18, 2027 was recalled on Tuesday, also for fermentation-related spoilage. The FSAI advised consumers not to eat the implicated batches.
