Ready Brek and Tesco porridge batches recalled due to presence of beetles
xCruzo Brief
Two popular breakfast cereals sold in Ireland are being recalled after the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) warned they may contain flour beetles. The recall targets Ready Brek Original in 750g and 450g packs, as well as Tesco Super Smooth Porridge. FSAI says the presence of these grain pests in cereal batches would make the products unfit for human consumption. Retailers have been asked to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the affected batches and to consult the best-before information listed by the FSAI recall notice.
