Recall of Frozen Pasta Sold at Walmart

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a nationwide recall of frozen pasta sold at Walmart due to a potential Listeria contamination. Gias Foods of New York is recalling two lots of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine. The company says Listeria can lead to serious or fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. The recalled items are packaged in a 22-ounce yellow container. Affected units show UPC 194346442706 and lot numbers L6079C or L6080C, with expiration dates of September 19 or 20 stamped on the back of the packaging.
