Air Canada Launches New 8-Hour A321XLR Heathrow Route: But There's A Twist

Air Canada is launching a new “daytripper” route between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and London Heathrow (LHR) using its Airbus A321XLR. Starting June 1, 2027, the Star Alliance carrier will add up to 33 weekly flights on the city pair, increasing frequency from four to five daily. The schedule features a morning departure from Toronto arriving late evening in London, with the return leaving London mid-morning for an afternoon arrival back in Canada. The all-day option targets travelers who want to avoid the traditional overnight transatlantic service and potential jet lag. Passengers can also take advantage of US Customs and Border Preclearance.
