Air Canada Welcomes Ratification of Two New Contracts with its Finance and Clerical Employees

Air Canada is moving forward on labor agreements after its finance and clerical employees ratified two of three tentative contracts reached June 12, 2026. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) said the deals covering 170 finance workers and 115 clerical workers have been approved, while ratification is still in progress for a third agreement for roughly 11,000 employees in Maintenance, Airport Airside Operations, Cargo, and Cabin Services. The airline’s workforce is represented across three separate contracts totaling more than 11,000 people under IAMAW. The votes were held on the two agreements, with final outcome pending on the remaining contract. The updates come in a broader context of Air Canada’s operations from Montréal, with the company describing the agreements as covering multiple employee groups under separate agreements.
