Aircraft maintenance firm serving UK airports enters liquidation after 11 years
Luftavia, an aircraft maintenance provider that operated at several of the UK’s busiest airports including Heathrow, Birmingham and Manchester, has collapsed into liquidation after 11 years in business. Founded in May 2015, the company offered scheduled line maintenance, ad-hoc repairs, and rapid temporary line station set-ups, marketing itself as delivering “efficient, cost-effective maintenance solutions” using Civil Aviation Authority-approved products. A notice in The Gazette appointed Ryan Michael Davies of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP as liquidator on September 30. Luftavia also described a “right first time” quality standard and training focused on risk assessment and SMS. The report lists other 2026 retail and travel failures, noting that some airlines have also entered administration.
