Airlines market but zero flights

Nine years after British Airways pulled out of Harare and 15 years after Air Zimbabwe last flew direct to London, Airbus highlights a glaring anomaly: the Harare–London corridor remains unserved for non-stop flights and is the continent's most significant unserved city pair in Sub-Saharan Africa. The market is driven by a Zimbabwean diaspora in the United Kingdom estimated at 170,000 people, plus durable tourism demand and rising passenger volumes. Air Zimbabwe is attempting to re-enter London on a lease arrangement with Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, while BA and AirZim previously operated the route until 2007 and 2012, respectively.
