Akasa Air expands domestic footprint, forays into Rajasthan with daily flights to Udaipur
Akasa Air is expanding its domestic footprint by launching daily direct flights to Udaipur in Rajasthan, aiming to strengthen connectivity from major metros. The airline will begin non-stop service between Udaipur and Mumbai and Bengaluru starting October 15, 2026, with flights scheduled daily. Bookings are now open via Akasa Air’s official website, its Android and iOS apps, and through travel agents and online travel agencies. The move targets rising demand for experiential travel, destination weddings, and premium tourism from metropolitan cities. Akasa Air co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer Anand Srinivasan said the route improves convenient access to a culturally significant destination. Since launching in August 2022, the carrier has carried over 28 million passengers, and its network will reach 28 domestic and 7 international cities, operating 39 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. It also holds a firm order for 226 additional fuel-efficient CFM LEAP-1B-powered airplanes.
