Akasa Air inducts 39th aircraft into fleet; marks 8th addition in CY2026 to boost network expansion details the airline’s growing Boeing 737 MAX lineup and continued push into India’s NCR market. On June 22, Akasa Air received its 39th aircraft overall and its eighth induction in calendar year 2026, according to a company statement. The Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, registered as VT-YBP, arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru after a delivery route that began on the first leg from Seattle to Reykjavik and ended with the final leg from Cairo to Bengaluru. The airline said the aircraft is built to Akasa’s specifications and includes Safran Z200 seats with four inches of recline plus USB-C and USB-A ports. Akasa also reiterated it has a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX jets and a delivery pipeline of 187 additional aircraft over the next six years. Earlier in the week, it began operating from Noida International Airport on June 16, connecting Navi Mumbai and Noida with scheduled inaugural departures and arrivals.
