Alaska Airlines Cancels 7 Nonstop Routes From San Francisco: See Which Flights Now
Alaska Airlines has cut seven nonstop routes out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) so far this year, following more reductions in 2025, as the carrier consolidates operations across West Coast hubs. The withdrawals remove service to selected destinations including Austin, Boston and several flights in March, then an international cut to Loreto comes later. Overall, the changes total 405 weekly departures in 2026, a 13% drop from 465 departures in the same period of 2025, according to Cirium. In January, Alaska stopped nonstop flights from SFO to Austin Bergstrom (AUS) and Boston Logan (BOS) due to aircraft availability and competition. In March, it shelved service to Burbank (BUR), Phoenix (PHX) and Salt Lake City (SLC), with competition from carriers already serving those routes.
