Alaska Airlines Unveils Surprising New 6-Hour Nonstop Route: See Map Now
xCruzo Brief
Alaska Airlines plans to add a new nonstop international route from its Seattle–Tacoma hub to Guadalajara International Airport (GDL). The service will operate up to three times per week starting March 18, using the airline’s Boeing 737-800. Demand for travel to the Mexican state of Jalisco has stayed strong among West Coast travelers, and Alaska will be the third carrier serving the city pair. Volaris and Aeromexico already operate nonstop flights between Seattle and Guadalajara. In mid-March, oneworld partner Alaska will serve the route from Seattle for the first time, joining incumbent Volaris (since 2016) and newer Aeromexico service that began in 2025.
