All flights from Norwich Airport cancelled as strike action begins
xCruzo Brief
Norwich Airport has cancelled all flights as strike action begins at its air traffic control unit. The disruption follows the rejection of a pay offer by Prospect union members, who said the proposal was “insufficient.” In a statement, Norwich Airport said the 24-hour strike means the airport will be closed to air traffic on Friday 28 August and no flights will operate to or from Norwich that day. Passengers are urged to contact their airlines for updated information. The airport previously closed for five hours on August 21, and flights were diverted over the weekend due to ongoing industrial action. Prospect is calling for a 10% pay rise and may consider further strike days, including pension and maternity/paternity leave changes.
