ATF price cut by Rs 5/litre to Rs 110 as global oil prices ease, first reduction since West Asia crisis
Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has seen its first price cut since the West Asia conflict, falling by Rs 5 per litre to around Rs 110 in Delhi as global oil prices ease. Industry sources said jet fuel rates were reduced in line with the Centre’s revision effective July 1, the first decline after international crude benchmarks softened. The change comes as market sentiment improves following earlier concerns about supply disruptions. ATF typically represents about 35–40% of an airline’s operating costs, so movements in fuel pricing can affect profitability and potentially airfares. The revision also ties into updated export duties for petroleum products, with SAED on ATF exports set at Rs 7.5 per litre and Road and Infrastructure Cess remaining nil. Petrol and diesel domestic excise duties were unchanged, leaving retail consumer prices unaffected.
