ATR does not want to compete with traditional business aviation industry | Corporate Jet Investor | CJI news
ATR says it is not trying to compete head-on with the traditional business jet and turboprop markets with its HighLine luxury cabin range. Speaking to Aircraft Investor, Louis Barral, ATR’s VIP Markets customer marketing manager, said the company serves “dual-class, corporate, semi-private and governmental mobility needs,” positioning the offering between commercial regional aviation and business aircraft. ATR points to perceived gaps in existing business aviation services and argues that “ATR HighLine” uses the aircraft family’s proven strengths—especially their economics and ability to operate from short, remote airstrips. In 2023, ATR disclosed multiple cabin layouts including Dual-Class, Premium-Flex, All-Business and Governmental, targeting operators from corporate shuttles to large delegations. Demand is cited as the driver.
