Avelo Airlines plans fall-winter flights to Florida. When they start

Avelo Airlines is expanding fall-winter Florida service, adding Lakeland connections from Michigan to cater to budget travelers. The carrier will operate Lakeland services from Detroit and Grand Rapids, with Detroit Metro (DTW) and Gerald R. Ford International (GRR) as hubs. Seasonal Detroit–Orlando, Lakeland, and New Haven routes are also part of the schedule. From November, Detroit–Lakeland operates up to four days per week through December, then two to three days weekly in January and two days a week through February, while Grand Rapids–Lakeland runs twice weekly through March 1. The network strengthens Avelo’s Florida focus from Michigan hubs, expanding affordable options for travelers.
